Why Calfmate exists
The calf shed is one of the most critical — and most overlooked — areas on a dairy farm. The calves you rear today become your milking herd two years from now. Yet most farms still manage calf records on whiteboards, in WhatsApp messages, on paper, or in spreadsheets designed for something else entirely.
The problem we solve
- Inconsistent records — Different staff, different shifts, different routines. Calfmate gives everyone the same system.
- Hidden losses — Most farms track deaths. Few track the calves that never reach the herd — poor colostrum, missed treatments, inconsistent feeding.
- Scattered paper — You can print or save records from Calves and Reports. That is not a certified compliance pack.
- No signal in the shed — The Android app keeps shed work on the phone and syncs later. The website needs internet. Mate needs a connection.
